Privacy statement, access to personal data, right of withdrawal
When visiting our website, the following information that are technically necessary for the running of this website are collected: Browser: make and version, operating system, refering site, IP address and time of server request. These data cannot be linked to specific people. They are not and will not be compared and/or merged with other data sources and will be deleted after an anonymous statistical use.
If you decide to purchase any goods from us, we will also receive the data given by you on registration. They are being stored with your customer's account. For orders, we are using the worldwide accepted SSL protocol for data encryption. Your eMail address is only serving as an alias for your customer's account. Any data we gather during your order will be used by whiskyandspirits.com after your visit only to process your order and payment. Furthermore, we offer you an overview over your orders placed in the previous six months in the customer's area.
Your data and your customer's account will be deleted six months after sending the last invoice to you, unless you have appealed against any charges or you have not paid all charges despite our notice given to you or we have documented an informative basis of missing payment.
If necessary for transactions, we will pass the data provided by you on to third parties that you have seperate contractual dealings with (credit card companies, Paypal).
Newsletter
If you wish to receive the newsletter offered on this website, we will need your valid eMail address as well as additional information that allow us to confirm that you are the owner of that e-mail address or that the owner of that e-mail address is agreeing to receive the newsletter. We will not ask for additional data. You can give your consent in the process of registration, but that is optional. You can withdraw your consent to use your e-mail address for the newsletter at any time.
Access to personal data, right of withdrawal
You have the right to be informed about any personal data about you we have stored, where we have that information from, who we might have shared them, with as well the reason for storing them at any time. If you wish to use this right please use any of the given contact possibilities.
Furthermore, you have the right to object to the use of your data for your customer's account at any time. If you wish to do so, you can have your customer's account deleted in the member's area. For technical resaons, a possible subscription to our newsletter has to be cancelled seperately.
